Description, goals and expected results

As the primary Israeli human rights organization championing the health rights of Palestinians under occupation, Physicians for Human Rights- Israel respectfully requests Diakonia's continued partnership to increase respect for human rights, encourage conflict prevention through partnerships and joint advocacy and medical work with Palestinian partners, and improve access to justice and accountability in the field of health. The target beneficiaries of our project include Palestinian residents of the occupied Palestinian territory and the near 8,000 Palestinian 'security prisoners' currently imprisoned in Israeli detention facilities. PHR-Israel's dynamic approach includes casework, legal action, trainings, and public outreach, enabling us to move between tools and strategies as a way to advance best practices and ensure maximum results.
